Kiwanis Club of Prescott
The focus of the Kiwanis Club of Prescott is the children and young adults of our community. Our club meets bi-weekly at Freedom Park on Thursdays at noon. We have a guest speaker and honor the High School Student of the Week. Our meetings last one hour and are very informative and casual.
Our club was chartered April 1993. Our membership includes business people, clergy, school teachers and administrators, retirees and interested citizens. In addition to providing informative speakers at our weekly meetings, the Club sponsors or co-sponsors many activities for children and young adults of Prescott. These include the Student of the Week, a reading program at the Middle School, and the annual High School awards banquet. We host a free kids fishing contest that is a huge hit with young and old alike. In addition, we are also involved in the Adopt a Highway and Bicycle Safety programs.
Purpose: The Prescott Kiwanis Club has a special emphasis on programs and projects that involve and help children in our community. Kiwanis is a nationally affiliated service organization that seeks to better their local communities through various service projects.
