Meeting will be held at the Prescott High School
Our speaker this week is Jennifer Olson who is the Educational Consultant for Distance Learning for CESA 11 in Turtle Lake, the Educational Consortium that Prescott belongs to. After we eat lunch in the High School Cafeteria, catered by Ptacek's, we will complete our meeting in the ITV lab. Jennifer will be joining us from Turtle Lake via the same equipment our students use to take classes from as far away as Rice Lake.

Our speaker will be Sheriff Nancy Hove, a Prescott Junior - Courtney Orpen and Steve Peterson, the High School Counselor and our member. The topic is the DARE program, including a component started at the Prescott High School last year called DARE Role Models, and an off shoot of the program called "Teens Making a Difference". Both of the student programs are focused on helping younger students avoid pitfalls such as drug use, bullying, etc. The Teens Making a Difference program was started in part due to a grant received by the Prescott Foundation.
